I began working with children in 1996. Since then, I have worked with children from 0 to 17 in a variety of settings. I earned my master's degree studying early childhood education at Portland State University. I have studied in Reggio-Emilia, Italy, completed the Positive Discipline Parent Educator training, and completed the RIE® Foundations course in Los Angeles. My work has been published in the journals Young Children and Journal of Early Childhood Research. I am currently continuing my RIE® studies with RIE® Associate and author of Simple Toys Make Active Babies Alexandra Curtis.
